Money For Nothing; First Review!!

I met a good friend and ex-colleague for lunch before Xmas, who took me through his journey with reading the book. The feedback was varied, honest and precise, so a massive thanks goes out to Eric for taking the time out to read and report back to me on my work.

Even better, I asked Eric if he would formalise his words and write a concise review for me, which he has and placed on the Smashwords website.

Great fun. Dave Marsdon is the (inner) consultant you love to hate, would love to be, can't really believe exists, can't stop wanting the very best for, can't wait to be smacked (hard) on the head, all in one.

You probably fall more in love with the characters in his life, but you can't stop rooting for this simpleton genius they have in theirs.

The writing style takes a little while to start its flow, but some grammatical bumps aside it's not long before you're eating through the chapters, eager to live the journey that is Dave's passage into the greater reality.

Thanks Eric. Anyone else who has read the book, please feel free to provide your feedback online via the site or directly to me at dom.price@gmail.com.

Happy New Year!!

Money For Nothing

So the time has finally come. After over a year in the making, deliberating, procrastinating and thesaurus-ing, it is done and ready to be read...well I hope at least. I'd love to offer you all a signed copy, but self-publishing is proving expensive so from here you can download it and either read it on your funky Kindle or equivalent, or even just download it and print it out.

‘Dave Marsdon has it all – men envy his intellect, bravado and fine threads and women quiver with excitement when he enters the room.  He has worn a mask for so long that he now buys the bullshit he has spun about himself.  However, Dave has a secret.  How long can the guy who seemingly has it all carry on this façade?  Will anyone uncover Dave’s secret before he is ready to deal with the demons from 14 years ago and the drama of his teenage years?'

Critics (friends!) have been salivating over it;

  • "David Brent meets Bridget Jones, spawns a love child: Dave Marsdon"
  • "We all know a Dave Marsdon. Now get inside his mind. It's a strange place."
  • "A great read. Short, sharp chapters. Perfect for a generation short on time, low on attention."
  • "'Dom Price has written an entertaining novel with a lead character that provides plenty of intrigue - Dave Marsdon.  He's the guy with it all or so it seems...."
  • "A book that brightened my day...made me laugh out loud, yet feel for all the characters...a book very worth reading."
So if you are ready to buy this 80's extravaganza, it is currently available here:

In the coming weeks it will be available on Amazon, Apple and other e-book stores.

If you have any doubts or concerns, then feel free to drop me an e-mail at dom.price@gmail.com and I'll send you the first chapter for free! Happy reading!!
